Standing Together on World Homeless Day

Every year on October 10, communities across the world pause to recognize World Homeless Day—a moment to raise awareness about housing insecurity and the urgent need for sustainable, affordable solutions. At Beahive Affordable Housing Outreach, every day is dedicated to turning awareness into action. From providing emergency rental assistance through our Hive Savings Assistance Program to rehabilitating homes through Hive Creation, our goal is simple yet powerful: to make stability possible for families in Dauphin, Cumberland, and York Counties. This year, we’re especially proud to announce progress on the acquisition of 1007 N. 3rd Street project—a property that will soon house four new rental units, a temporary shelter apartment, and our Beahive office space. It’s more than a building; it’s a space designed to restore hope, dignity, and community connection.
