For Renters in Dauphin County and Surrounding Areas Who Want to Become A Homeowner
Rent-to-own homes allow you to become a homeowner over time. This program will apply your rent directly toward the mortgage on your home. You will build equity and obtain the knowledge needed to qualify for a traditional loan within the next three to five years. If you want to purchase the home, there is an option to buy the home at a later date.

Rent-to-own homes are for people with good, bad, or no credit history. You will be able to build your credit, build equity and allow you to purchase the home of your dreams.

We provide additional financial resources to help you qualify for a traditional loan within 3-5 years to purchase a home.

How long does it take to get approved?
Renters who are ready to become homeowners but may not be in a financial position to do so are eligible for this program.
After speaking with a case manager you will receive a decision by phone and email within 7-10 business days. Approval for rental assistance is dependent upon the availability of funds. To check the status of your process you can always email us at info@beahivehousing.org.
What Is The Process?
This process is slightly different from our other housing programs. During the qualification call, you will go through the Needs and Financial Assessment. Entry into this program will be based on the availability of vacant properties.
Once the housing assistance form is completed. A case manager will contact you to see if you are eligible for the program.
