Rental Assistance
For Renters in Dauphin County and Surrounding Areas, Who May Have Difficulty Paying Rent
If you are a renter and having trouble making ends meet, we may be able to help. Our Rental Assistance Program can help those who may not be able to qualify for traditional programs because they slightly exceed the income limits. The goal of this program is to help you meet short-term needs and get back on your feet in order to maintain your independence.
How Does It Work?
How long does it take to get approved?
We provide financial assistance if you are behind on rent or in the process of eviction. For individuals who are in the process of attaining a new residence, we can assist with security or application fees if there is a financial a need.
After speaking with a case manager you will receive a decision by phone and email within 7-10 business days. Approval for rental assistance is dependent upon the availability of funds. To check the status of your process you can always email us at info@beahivehousing.org.
What Is The Process?
In order for assistance, you must first meet one of the housing needs. You will then speak with a Case Manager who will complete a needs assessment with you. The outcome of that assessment may include the need for workforce development or financial literacy classes to obtain assistance.

Financial assistance is based on the availability of funds. Once the housing assistance form is completed. A case manager will contact you to see if you are eligible for the program.
